Public Information Officer

The Right to Information Act 2005 has come into effect and aims at setting out the practical regime of right to information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of public authorities, in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority.

In terms of Section 5 of the RTI Act 2005, NATRiP Implementation Society (NATIS) on behalf of NATRiP as a public authority has appointed a Public Information Officer. The details of the contact address of the PIO are as under :

The PIO shall perform the duties related to upkeep of information, receive requests for information and dispose these in terms of Sections 5, 6, and 7 of the Act. Levy of Fees and Costs would be regulated under the Right to Information (Regulation of Fee and Cost) Rules 2005 issued by the Department of Personnel & Training, GOI, vide notification dated 16.09.2005.
