JOB PROFILE

Ø    Heading the core technical team of NATRiP for comprehensive and organized implementation of the project.

Ø    Defining the entire technical architecture of the testing and R&D facilities spread across seven locations of NATRiP.

Ø    Coordinating the technical work with consultant/contractors in furtherance of the Project Implementation as per government approval and in accordance with the Global Consultancy Agreement.

Ø    Articulating and coordinating the work of Technical Advisory Team.

Ø    Finalizing the specifications of equipments and providing technical inputs in the entire process of procurement.

Ø    Negotiations with suppliers of equipments on all technical aspects.

Ø    Monitor and adapt the trends of development in the field of testing and homologation, etc.

Ø    Participation in deliberations relating to framing of rules, regulations and standards governmental functioning for easier liaison and coordination.

Ø    Supervising commissioning of all equipments, designing their upkeep/maintenance protocols and manuals.

Ø    Planning and arranging the training of technical staff in operating facilities.

Ø    Any other work assigned from time to time.

POST QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE & ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY

Ø  The incumbent should have minimum 15 years of experience of which around 5 yrs as Head of R&D/ Engineering department/centre in the automotive/ allied industry.

Ø  Should desirably have experience in setting up testing/ R&D facilities in Automotive sector and have handled procurement of capital items for automobile/ allied industries especially test equipments/ instruments.

Ø   Should be very strong in project planning & management, facility layouts, utilities planning and wide range of skills for negotiations with suppliers of equipments and knowledge in the field of testing and homologation etc.

Ø  Should have knowledge of national and international rules and regulations of automotive sector and their implementation.

DESIRABLE

Ø    20 years of experience in automobile and allied industries of which around 5 years as Head of R&D/Engineering Department/Centre.

Ø    Should have thorough knowledge of national and international rules and regulations related to the automotive sector as well as government of India systems for framing rules and regulations in the automotive sector and their implementation.

Ø    Demonstrated long interaction with international testing/ regulatory agencies will have an advantage.

Ø    Formulation, implementation, monitoring and control of projects in Automobile Sector.

GOVERNMENT DEPUTATION

Ø    Deputation includes deputation from Central/ State Government/PSU’s/ large Government infrastructure projects initially for a period three years and can be extended as per requirement.

INTERNAL CANDIDATE

Ø    Suitable internal candidates in the rank of Additional Directors/Deputy Director may also apply against this post and shall be given appropriate weightage as approved.

PRIVATE CONTRACTUALS

Ø    Technically qualified and otherwise suitable incumbents from the automotive industry/ testing agencies may also apply on private contractual basis.
